InspiredCode's Music Tools |
As you might be able to tell by the bell sounds, I am a musician. In making music, I have found the need for a little utility here and there that I could not find anywhere. So I wrote them. There's not many yet, but keep checking back from time to time to see what's been added. As such, check out the utilities below! |
Bumpup and BumpDown:
These two utilities allow you to
hear and process the ultrasonic content
in your music. They are
invaluable if you need to deal with rate
conversion artifacts and other
super high frequency noises that
accumulate in digital music above
normal hearing range.
DeSnap:
Gets rid of unwanted super loud
high frequency clicks and pops
(snaps) that so often plague
digital music, without losing any of the
brilliance in the
music! This is not merely a filter; it is something else.
It scans for shapes of "snap
events" and fixes them.
I should warn you, though,
that it only operates on the very
highest frequency snap events that you get when pushing your
ultrasonic content beyond reasonable bounds. So if you've beefed
up the "ear candy" brilliance of your tracks so much that you
get ultrasonic crackle, and your normal desnap utilities
can't seem to touch it, this may be your solution.
