The Father, The Son and The Holy
Spirit: each is God and
the three are one.
There has been love between them
since before creation had begun.
God said let us make man in our
likeness and let them rule the earth.
Love was in that likeness.
Then our hearts lost sight of pure
love's worth.
Yet as high as the heavens are
above, yet so much greater is God's love.
And greater is His wisdom too;
He
knows and wants what's best for you.
Pure love makes no compromise
with anything evil, vile or base.
Only on
the Saviour's terms
can
we receive
His gift of grace.
Only those whose hearts He has healed
will be in Heaven and see His face.
God would never let a stubborn
sinner in to spoil the place.
Yet as high as the heavens are
above, yet so much greater is God's love.
And greater is His wisdom too;
He
knows and wants what's best for you.
The serpant brought shame and sorrow
to woman as she brought mankind to sin.
But God brought honor to woman
when He clothed Himself in human skin.
Born of a virgin, not
fathered by a man, The Holy Spirit perfectly
conceived Him.
In order to redeem us, God
our Saviour had to be
our kin.
Yet as high as the heavens are
above, yet so much greater is God's love.
And greater is His wisdom too;
He
knows and wants what's best for you.
God takes loving care of us,
in ways none of us understands.
And greater love no man can have
than to lay His life down for His friends.
A spirit could never pay the price
for our sin because a spirit never dies.
But Jesus was tortured in
our place and died as
His body agonized.
Yet as high as the heavens are
above, yet so much greater is God's love.
And greater is His wisdom too;
He
knows and wants what's best for you.
