Important Information About
ChurchBells and InspiredCode:

If you did not get the standard Welcome Letter
for ChurchBells, please click here to see it on line.
It contains some important setup information.

(Perhaps you might like to print this.)

Thank you for choosing ChurchBells.  Every installation
encourages me so much regarding stewardship of time
that went into its making, as it has truly been a labor of love.
I also respect your stewardship of resources committed to
the purpose, and am genuinely interested in the long life and
successful operation of your new bell tower.

Here is some information that you may find useful:

*   Using ChurchBells:

Reset Schedule to Default:
With the organization level license, whenever you perform
the "Reset Schedule to Default", it will omit the silly tune that
it had for lesser license levels.  Using this feature is simple:
1)  Register your machine.
2)  Restart ChurchBells
3)  Get past the safety lock screen.
4)  Select "Rebuild Schedule DataBase to Default" from the
File Menu.  ChurchBells will automatically remove every
reference to "Shave and a Haircut" from the schedule.  It
was put there to prevent demo or home licenses from being
used in serious, outdoor installations.  I'm not bothered by
the whimsical little melody but it does set a casual tone.

Custom Schedules:
With the organization level license, you can create and
modify your own custom chiming schedules, even add new
songs.  A primer on making custom schedules can be found
in the help menu of ChurchBells.

Please print the article at this location:
http://InspiredCode.com/contact/cbc1.htm
It tells you all about creating custom schedules in ChurchBells.

Additional ChurchBells Music:
You can find additional music (only) for use with the
InspiredCode ChurdhBells software here:
http://InspiredCode.net/MoreHymns.htm

Adding Sounds:
In addition to that, please feel free to use other sounds that
you may find elsewhere.  An organization licensed installation
likes to play any wave file.  You can find information about how
to add more songs at:  http://inspiredcode.net/addsongs.htm

Getting Sounds from Audio CDs:
Before you can use sounds from audio CDs, they first need
to be copied into Wave files ("ripped").  You can do that easily
by using an excellent freeware application called CDEX.  (When
you are done "ripping" the CD, you will find your wave files in
the OutputFiles subdirectory of the CDEX program's directory.
You will need to rename each file to something that has no more
than 8 characters, with the ".wav" extension.

*   InspiredCode Users Group:

Significant Users:
After experiencing some software companies not having
time for "insignificant" users like me, I want to make myself
available to you in an unprecedented way.

New Users Group:
There is a new users group for InspiredCode products.  It
is not likely to generate very much traffic in your mailbox, but
it can keep you up to date on news relevant to InspiredCode
products, as well as any "bug reports" (perish the thought!)
direct from users and "fix reports" direct from me.

Obvious Benefits:
I hope it is easy to see the benefits of getting us all into
the same virtual room together.  I am more quickly available
when you have concerns.  You can see if your concern has
already been raised and pending an answer.  I can use the
same channel to let you know that the issue has been met
and a new update is posted on the site.  We are all in this
together and none of us gets forgotten or left out of the loop.

Whatever You'd like to Share:
Some issues have nothing to do with bugs.  Rather, it
may be that someone has asked a very good question or
come up with a very good idea that would benefit all users.
It's really up to how you want to use it, but it is important to
me that I am here for you.

Skipping Over Sections:
To be fair, I should mention that InspiredCode makes a
small variety of different kinds of products, and you may or
may not be interested in news regarding all of them.  For
that reason I'll try to include the name of the product in the
title of the message (or section) so you can skip over things
as you like.

PS  If you appreciate finding this software Bell Tower System,
perhaps you could extend this benefit to others, by publicizing
it in the newsletter (or other information service) of your Church's
convention, association or denomination.

For that matter, perhaps you could also think of somewhere that
is Christmas oriented, in which to publicize ChurchBells.

After all, even an expired demo still works every December
(all month, every year) to spread Christmas cheer, so folks might
like to keep the install files handy with the colored lights and tinsel.
